2. Littoral Landes (Landes)

The Pilat Dune , north to the mouth of the Adour, in the south, the Landes coast, lined with dunes, is the largest fine sandy beach of Europe . Over 100 km, the same wild and raw landscape  : first, the deep green of the pine forest , and the blond dune planted with marram fragile and finally the blue of the Atlantic Ocean to the horizon. Only a few rivers, such as the Huchet or that of Mimizan, manage to make their way between the dunes and disturb this subtle natural arrangement.

3. Creeks (Bouches-du-Rhône)

Between Marseille , massive gateway to the Calanques, and Cassis , the coastline draws a line of coast tormented formed towering limestone ore bodies . Decorum is impressive: deep valleys, cliffs, needles, gazebos, caps like those of Morgiou or Sormiou, caves, coves and beaches stretch over thirty kilometers at a dizzying pace. A boon for hikers sea lovers who will find flyway swept by the spray.

4. Cliffs of Esterel (Var, Alpes-Maritimes)

The Esterel , this volcanic massif marking the natural border between the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes, a place at the beautiful coast color gradient  : red rock marries it with the blue sea and the green vegetation. Along the steep cliffs of the coast, numerous coves enjoy a breathtaking natural beauty . Thirty quiet and wild beaches strung along between Saint-Raphaël and Théoule-sur-Mer. At the rear, the Esterel offers superb terrain of hiking and climbing and, in water, an underwater trail was built next to the tip of the needle.

5. Camargue (Bouches-du-Rhône)

The delta of the Rhone, the desperately flat landscape remains untamed by man. North of the delta extends a Camargue «dry», dedicated to agriculture, particularly rice. In the center deploy the pond Vaccarès and a multitude of lakes called the lower ponds . The south, more wild, is a marshy universe, and extreme southeast is the kingdom of salt marshes . Beautiful sandy beaches of several kilometers, like Beauduc or Espiguette, swarm the coast sometimes difficult to access.

Located on the Delta Center, the Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is the only city in Camargue (www.saintesmaries.com).

6. Between Tizzano and Campomoro (Corse-du-Sud)

Between Campomoro which closes the Gulf of Valinco, and Tizzano , further south, the coast is a wild coast partially owned by the Coastal Conservancy . Since the beautiful Genoese tower of Campomoro, extended by dreamlike shapes cut by the sea in a light gray granite sometimes sometimes pale pink, the coastline gradually expands into a succession of lawns, rocky points and islands sculpted by the sea and wind. It is also home to beautiful beaches, such as Cala d’Agulia, suitable for swimming.

A coastal path connects the Genoese tower of Campomoro with Tizzano.

7. Wild Coast forest of Coubre (Charente-Maritime)

North of Royan , the wild coast spreads its sandy beaches about fifteen kilometers between La Palmyre and Ronce-les-Bains. A pristine ocean coastline of any construction, that bound the Bonne Anse and Spanish Point, south of the island of Oléron. It can also stick to the shade of the forest of Coubre , just fix the dunes. A bike path runs along the coast among pine and arbutus. Midway, La Bouverie, the D25 allows cars to approach the shore but the sea here is deserved and it is accessed often after a long walk on sandy ground. The chance to see a deer or a deer escaping behind the foliage.

Equip yourself with water and swim to nearby first aid stations at Pointe Spanish and Bouverie because currents can carry you off.

8. Cap Sizun and Raz (Finistère)

After the very wild Cap Sizun , the granite outcrop that forms the legendary Raz , land of inspiration of great literary names like Flaubert , offers a splendid view of the lighthouse of the Virgin and its marine chaos, as well as on ‘ Ile de Sein , while tiny ports shelters are hidden between the folds of the rugged coastline. But all is not as storms and cliffs crushed by the waves at Cape Sizun: the south facade, around Audierne and Plouhinec, has a seaside physiognomy .

At Plouhinec, do not miss the fishing returns to the auction of Poulgoazec. Netters and trollers are back to port 16h.

9. Opal Coast (North, Pas-de-Calais)

It is without doubt one of the most beautiful natural sites in France . The image of these grasslands is snapping at the base of pristine white cliffs to dive in water color opal is something surreal . Nose in the air, starting from the charming little port of Wissant and Audresselles, the footpaths of 5 hours help reach two landmarks of the Opal Coast  : Cape Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez. In good weather, the English coast seem at hand. Superb and invigorating!

10. WILD COAST OF BELLE-ILE-EN-MER (MORBIHAN)

«There is something inimitable, a sort of equilibrium of forces,» said one of its famous visitors, François Mitterrand . Indeed, the island faces the sea, as provided to the power of the ocean, has an unparalleled breath. His long wild coast place under a single light, steep cliffs, narrow coves and sandy beaches. At the corner, a few stops of choice: the needles of Port-Coton , immortalized by Monet, the beach Overlooking , powerful breakers, the Cave of the Apothecary , marine and dizzy, and at the end of the island, peak Colts , former refuge of Sarah Bernhardt.
